Contest is open to homeowners 18 years of age or older.
Participants must own the home in which the water heater is located.
Homes must be located in the Greater Columbus, Ohio area.
Limit one entry per household.
Contest Entry:
To enter, participants must submit a clear photo of their water heater along with the required entry form, available at https://www.ohiowaterheaters.com/ugly-water-heater-contest/.
Only photos of gas or electric water heaters are eligible. Hybrid or tankless water heaters are excluded from the contest.
Entries must be submitted by the contest deadline listed on the contest page.
Winner Selection:
A panel of judges from Ohio Water Heaters will evaluate all submissions based on visual appearance and condition of the water heater.
The winner will be the entry judged to have the “ugliest” water heater based on condition, age, and visible wear.
Winner will be notified via email or phone within 10 days after the contest ends.
Grand Prize:
The grand prize includes:
Removal of the old water heater.
Installation of a new Rheem Pro gas or electric water heater (excludes hybrid or tankless models).
All necessary materials for a standard setup.
Full testing to ensure proper functionality of the new unit.
The grand prize must be claimed and scheduled within 90 days of the winner’s notification.
The grand prize has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, credit, or any other product.
Prize Conditions:
The installation is for a standard water heater setup only. Any additional work or modifications needed outside of the standard installation will not be included and will be the responsibility of the winner.
The installation must occur at the property associated with the entry, located in the Greater Columbus area.
Failure to claim the prize within the allotted time frame will result in forfeiture of the prize.
Other Conditions:
By entering, participants grant Ohio Water Heaters permission to use their name, likeness, and submitted photos for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
Ohio Water Heaters reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates the contest rules or appears fraudulent.
Ohio Water Heaters is not responsible for any lost or misdirected entries due to technical or human error.
Terms and Conditions
Eligibility & Agreement to Rules:
By entering the contest, participants agree to comply with and abide by these rules and the decisions of Ohio Water Heaters, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
Participation is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Limitations of Liability:
Ohio Water Heaters is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or any equipment or programming associated with or used in the contest.
Ohio Water Heaters assumes no responsibility for any technical issues that may arise during participation, such as lost or delayed submissions due to internet or software malfunctions.
Winner Responsibilities:
The winner must be available to schedule the installation within the 90-day window from the date of winning notification.
If the winner fails to schedule the installation in this time period, the prize may be forfeited and Ohio Water Heaters reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.
Prize Restrictions:
The grand prize is limited to a standard installation of a Rheem Pro gas or electric water heater. Any upgrades, modifications, or requests for non-standard installations will incur additional costs.
Hybrid or tankless water heaters are not included as part of the grand prize.
There is no cash out or exchange option for the grand prize.
Use of Personal Information:
By entering, participants agree to the collection and use of their personal information by Ohio Water Heaters for the purposes of running the contest, contacting winners, and for promotional purposes.
Ohio Water Heaters will not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required for contest administration.
Right to Cancel or Modify:
Ohio Water Heaters reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest in the event of any technical issues, fraud, or other problems beyond their control.
